Exclusive, one-of-a-kind ornament/bowl handmade by Sofia Roe.
Inspired by shimmering pond water in the centre of a water lily pad, this stunning example of abstract ceramics was created with the application of Mayco Jungle Gems glazes (Meadow, and Blue Azure); followed by the addition of tiny broken glass pieces into the centre. The pieces of glass and frit melt during the firing process and, as the crystals bloom, they produce the dramatic design as seen.
The bowl has a spiral base, and has been stamped SR (the intials of Sofia Roe) in the centre of the base.
