Population is a thought-provoking, abstract painting which portrays our ever-growing population and diversity within our population.
 
I often use gold to represent my empathy with the natural world, as I have done in this painting. I have also sprayed-painted a small section with a stencilled honeycomb as bees are, of course, part of the biodiversity on which our population depends for our survival.
 
In addition to being a thought-provoking piece, it is a truly stunning painting produced using acrylic paints and gold leaf, and taping and stencilling techniques. Once dried, three layers of gloss varnish spray were applied. I only use the best of art materials such as Pebeo and Arteza paints and varnishes.
